Similar to Australian Pecorino, Pepato is made here from cow’s milk. “Pepato” originated from Sicily where Pecorino was also made famous. Australian Pepato is set apart from the other local cheeses by the addition of peppercorns. The flavour of the peppercorns complements the piquant flavour of the cheese.
